CPU or GPU for software computing

I need some help on if a software is using a GPU or CPU processing ?

The software itself is using a heavily 3D processing model. If lets say, the software using GPU for the 3D simulation, will it all 100% usage on the GPU itself?

From what I know it all depends on the program if it can use the GPU to process.

Otherwise you just want something along the lines of a Xeon CPU and Quadro GPU / AMD equivalents
