CPU Fan Error

Hi, i have just installed a new fan on to my heatsink and plugged in the 4 pin connector into the cpu fan on the motherboard, the fan is working fine but everytime i start up my computer a error message appears with CPU Fan error. Im not sure what is wrong please could some one help me

*FIXED*

I added the fan which was the one i took off to my heatsink having 2 fans and then plugged that fan into the cpu fan header and the other into the cpu opt and no error message.

What MoBo are you using?

And have you installed it to right header?

Im using the Asus sabertooth 990fx r2.0 and yes i have 

Are you sure that it is on CPU fan header, and not on CPU opt?

Is the fan error coming from AI Suite?
