So I have had a lot of issues lately with my PC.

Drivers failing, Windows failing to scan for updates right, Etc,

I'm up to my knees in dead failing programs and issues and I'm sick of it and am just going to re install my windows.

a few questions before I do..

1. Is there any better drivers than the ones for your devices and what about the ones provided by Windows?  Is there a good driver tool that can scan and update for proper drivers and the best ones for you?

2. Windows 7, 8.1 , or 10 TP ? I don't care much and while Windows 8.1 gives some perks I miss 7 and it's simplicity.  However I did have issues on 7 and ultimately idk.  DX12 is due and I don't think it will be for 7 and TP looks quite nice.

3. I rarely actually boot my windows system leaving it in sleep a lot, and have a 120GB Samsung 840 Evo, should I use this drive for a few games I really like, or keep it as a boot drive and use like a small 250GB HDD I have for my windows?

4. Some games skyrim especially run odly slow and stutter a lot. While I do have a 15GB texture pack installed for it, It's all 2K textures and I have a 970 EVGA SC with an extra 100mhz OC.  my i5 is also OC to 4.4GHz any clue as to why I get a stupid 37-47FPS normal in whiterun ?  And with the game un modded / fixed it's even worse going haywire from 27-53FPs

5. Any extra tips for re installing my system? And should I erase ALL my data on all my drives, Or only my main windows drive?

generally you download the drivers from the hardware manufactuers site OR the chipsets manufactueres website..I usually use the chipsets manufacter cause they are always newest..I also use stationdrivers...for even newer drivers

personally hate 8..unless I modify its gui to be more like 7....it is faster..no question there..but not by much

ssd as boot drive....hdd as storage drive

you got some weird problem here....solve it after you clean install...if the clean install doesn't fix it (It should)
