Awesome man, i'd say so.

First upgrade i'd make is to buy a GTX 750Ti @Seabosz

Don't invest more than around $100 though as the socket is completely dead end.

I completely second this. Whatever socket the Core 2 is on is completely useless by Haswell and Skylake standards. It'd make more sense to buy a new PC rather than upgrading as you COULD spend more money, and you'd be doing a hell of a lot more work than just building one. The 750 Ti will be able to hold out on plenty of games until you can afford a nice machine

One day I will have my GTX 970. One day. PC specs are at my profile.

Not sure how to check what part works with what? Check out my compatibility guide!

Thirded, although you can grab a Q6600 for not a lot of money at all (I got one for about $30) and that'll get you a pretty hefty performance boost with your graphics card. i.e. scrapyard wars.

i wanna do some basic gaming (minecraft,unturned,fnaf,tf2,kf,csgo)

music listening/editing (i thought the soundcard was sick for the prize)

video editing (if possible)

Video editing?! HA! I bet it'll take like 10 mins to render for 1-2 mins of footage!

Not worth it at all, unless he gets the Core 2 Quad for dirt cheap!

Pentium G and Z97 is the best option by far. Maybe even look for a used bundle.

Plenty of Pentium G's used for sale.
