Gaming headset vs Headset+mic

Zackfoo

I know a lot discussion says that gaming headset is bad. But now i came across a very good deal for siberia v3 prism. about rm300. usd will be like 300 divide by 3.7 about 81 dollars. Should i go for it? or still a audio technica m30x maybe will be way better? im not a frequent mic user anyway.

which is your main priority, sound quality or mic quality

I would get the headphones and mic. Buy some decent headphones and a ModMic and you have a setup much better than most headsets. Headsets from gaming company normally cheap out on either the headphones, mic or both. I beleive Tek Syndicate did a video on this. You also have the advantage that if one breaks it is cheaper to replace just one thing.
