Okay so I have this issue on every time I start up or turn off my PC it will try and install some windows update. It never installs it and says "failure configuring windows updates undoing changes" at the end of it. This happened because I was trying to turn my computer off during a storm and windows thought it was going to be a good idea to install some updates right then and there, say to say it wasnt. Lost power for a second and now I have this issue. I cant role back to when this wasnt an issue because it happened over a month ago, and have been putting up with since then. Some people suggest uninstalling the updates, but I cant, since they arent actually installing they dont show up.

I have tried some methods of using CMD.exe things on turning off windows updates and checking for errors, some errors do pop up but I do not know what to do with such things. I have Deleted the updates out of the folder where they get stored and still nothing.

Its driving me nuts as a 12 seconds boot up (OS on SSD) now takes 5- 7 minutes turning on and turning off takes 2-3 minutes.

P.S. I'm using Windows 8.1

Do you have System Restore points from before it happened? Roll back to one of them.
