1. Budget & Location

My budget is around $1500 USD but I will go up to $1620 max if it gives me a lot of extra performance. I am in California so I will be using us dollars.

2. Aim

The aim of this build is to max out the latest triple a games. There will be no 3d rendering or video editing so an i5 will probably be fine. So the games I will be playing would be Batman Arkham Knight, Far Cry 4, Battlefield, The Witcher 3, and GTA 5.

3. Monitors

I will only be using 1 monitor and I will most likely not upgrade to multiple monitors in the future. This monitor will be at 1440p.

4. Peripherals

I do need to include a monitor, mouse and keyboard in this build as well as the monitor. I also need to include Windows 8 but I have heard that you can get them from G2A for around $30.

5. Why are you upgrading?

I am upgrading because the computer I use at the moment is approaching 7 years old and it was a $300 prebuil PC at the time. It runs extremely slow and simply can't run any games. I have already checked and I cannot salvage anything from the old PC.

It would be amazing if you guys could come up with a build that fits this criteria. Thanks

Yours Sincerely,

The Beast,

Sean Mullen

Do you really need peripherals? Because if so, put a separate (even if the pc+peripherals are still totaling 1620) budget for those. The reason this is important is because for a decent portion of the populous the shit you type/click on is just as important as what comp you have and for others they couldn't give two shits.

Well I do need peripherals and I was just thinking that I could get the coolermaster mouse and keyboard combo for around 30 dollars.

ok thats helpful. I was worried you were going to be a person that required a 150+ keyboard 70+ usd mouse... ill start on it assuming you are spending 30 on combo.

Yeah, I'll most likely get the combo because I would rather have a better computer than good mouse and keyboard.

http://pcpartpicker.com/p/h3NdP6this is what i did really quick.

umm, having to grab a monitor sucks, BUT this is color coordinated etc.

I assume if you are building you are willing to strip the HDD from your old comp.
