GTX 970 Overclocking

Go to solution Solved by AgentSoo7,

Thanks guys, good overclocking :)

Purchased a GTX 970 Turbo from ASUS. Its actually much better than expected, good temps and noise(for a blower). Started overclocking last night and was able to get the following:

How do my settings compare to other 970s, any tips, and also if you happen to know why does GPU Teak limit my core and memory clocks, the card boosts higher on its own (1450-1475 core). Thanks.

I've hit 1520MHz on my 970.

You pretty much have the same overclock that I do, however I didn't touch the GPU voltage, only the power target. I think I could push it higher, but haven't tried to just yet.

Still testing, the voltage never got past 1200 even though I have it at 1213.

You could try lowering the voltage to see if it is stable at less, your GPU will live longer and stay cooler.

Also I can get to 1575 on core, haven't tried doing anything to memory yet. Also Gigabyte G1, this thing got itself up to 1440 on it own...

Spoiler

Case Bitfenix Ghost, Mobo Asus Maximus VIII Ranger, CPU i7 6700K @4.2 Ghz cooled by Arctic cooling Freezer i30, (barely). GPU Nvidia GTX 970 Gigabyte G1 @1519Mhz core, RAM 16Gb Crucial Ballistix CL16 @2400Mhz. SSD 128GB Sandisk Ultra Plus as my OS drive. HDD's  1TB  Seagate ST31000524AS its OEM, 3TB Seagate Barracuda, 2x 500GB WDC Blue (RAID 0)

If it isn't working absolutely perfectly, according to all your assumptions, it is broken.

Alright sir! Blower style or open cooler?

Gigabyte G1 that was previous air cooled, open cooler, I currently have it on water. The boost clocks though with GPU boost 2.0 is pretty sweet it can boost to 1600 consistent on water.
