This is running Patch 1.05.

Honestly I can't see this being a 'performance issue'. I have a 2 Way SLI GTX-980s , i7-4790k, 16GB Ram.

I checked my HDD doesn't have bad sectors and I defragmented it.

Faces also load in only when Geralt is standing 2 feet away and it takes 5 seconds.

This is running the game at 1920 x 1200 , at 'Medium'.- Same Results as Ultra at 4K.

Is this just the game being horrible , is it my PC? Does an SSD Solve this problem?

Does this also happen when you disable your second GPU?

I've noticed this recently.  I think it's a driver problem as I noticed the same issue. (Along with my GPU usage going to shit in TW3.)

I've been having a fucking hard time with the 353.06 drivers.  I'm going to try reverting to the 352.86 drivers and I'll let you know if it fixes the issue.

EDIT:

Reverting drivers definitely fixed my SLI performance and it seems to have fixed the LOD issue as well. YMMV

Using the 353.06 drivers makes my SLI performance go to shit so I'm using the 352.86.

Even with 352.86 this still happens =.= are you using an SSD for the game?

I am, recently transferred it over.  I had it on an HDD before though and only sometimes did I see weird LOD's.

The main thing is the game has to fill your VRAM.  Make sure your textures are on ultra and walk around town for 30 seconds or so.  Oh and I set my texture filtering to high performance, which may make a difference I'm not sure.

If your memory is overclocked you can try reverting that to stock too, but I doubt that will change it.

I might go get a SSD and see if it does work.

So its confirmed that 353.06 messes with Maxwell SLI Setups?

It definitely messes with Witcher 3, but I didn't try anything else on it.

It also fucked with GSYNC.
