New Laptop

Hi all,

 

I have a friend who is in urgent need for a new laptop as his old laptop is having some sort of battery issue and he decided its time for an upgrade. He needs a laptop for web surfing and watching videos and his budget is $650 (please consider 5% tax as we are currently located in Calgary, Alberta-  Canada). He is looking for a laptop that is above 14" for the screen size, 500 gb Hard drive.

 

I was suggesting him to go for either an i3 to meet him needs and to go for an i5 if he can find one in his budget (sorry I'm an Intel supporter, but if you guys have any AMD laptops, I'll definitely pass the message on to him and he could look at it). I also advised him to go for 4-6gb of ram as he won't need more than that for what he plans on doing.

 

Please guys post your laptop recommendations here and I'll let him look. By the way, we are planning on visiting Bestbuy and Memory Express on Saturday June 6, so if you could give us recommendations before then that would be awesome!
