Can any one answer this question?

Go to solution Solved by robert1339,

Answer is yes

I had the question, would I be able to download windows 7 on the SSD and keep all my other info on my HDD and when windows 10 is out for a while, upgrade my windows 7 to windows 10 on the SSD with out fully wiping because all of real data would be in the HDD? Im pretty much asking if I can upgrade from windows 7 to 10 without wiping in the future?

I don't think I will get windows 10 when it comes out because of what happened with windows 8 when it came out. Which was, many of the new games couldnt run on windows 8. I do like windows 10 alot but I dont want to have to wait for games to start beingg compatiable with windows 10.

In theory, the windows 10 install will only effect the drive that it is going to be installed on.  However, you can get everything onto your HDD that you would like to keep safe then unplug the drive from your PC.  Then go ahead with your install of windows 10.

On the other hand though, I think (and I could be wrong) that Microsoft is going to handle this upgrade in a similar to the way Apple handles its updates.  Meaning all the files that are on the SDD should still be there when the upgrade is complete.
