Build updated

Go to solution Solved by Lotus,

http://pcpartpicker.com/p/9Ptfcf

I would get a different HDD as the hitachi ones don't have a good track record. Other than that it looks phenomenal.

I will order my build tomorrow any changes

Link not working so I just posted the text

ehh its working now, you might have been editing it at the moment.

Anyways just my two cents, unless you really want it, there isn't any need to go full tower, mid works just as well and is a tiny bit cheaper.

Also that HDD is scary as fuck. with SLI 980s you really should be running SSD's (otherwise imho you are doing yourself a disservice.)

Very nice build, i would consider waiting for the new amd cards, but that just me. Looks amazing though when it is done definitely provide some benchmarks! Also why didn't you go with the i7 5820k and ddr4 though?

I run my own indie game company called Color Dragon Studios where we are currently making a 2d platformer game called Small Earth.

The HDD is for my old build so I can give it to my brother, I have 4TB and a 500gb SSD already purchased

I will mostly be using this build for gaming so I don't need the extra cores and also because of tight budget

I would also recommend staying down on z97. Single core is the more important thing for gaming for as long as games don't scale for shit beyond 4 (really 3) cores, and the 4790k is currently your best bet for that.

The rest is cool.
