Hey guys,

 

I need some help/advice. Last night I was playing a bit of League on my fairly new laptop, and I had a glass of water on the desk as well. Next thing the god damn self entitled shit machine jumps up knocks over the water, spilling it all over the laptop.

 

I've took it apart and let it dry out after some light dabbing, is my best bet for recovery watching Linus saving his XPS ? Or are there any more tips he doesn't cover in said video.

 

The punishment for the cat shall be one hand while petting not two.

put it in a biiiiigggggg box with rice and let it sit for a week

Did is shut off when the water fell on it or were you able to shut it down normally?

 

You can also try some rice in a large zip lock bag that can hold the laptop and give it a week for the rice to absorb the moisture. 

 

One handed petting, man if that was me the bloody cat would be shaved and pictures would be taken and many many copies would be made and pinned up where his house is. :angry: This is the family's PC we are speaking about.

Cats are the worst. I would let the laptop stand for a couple of days.

Tear it apart and let it sit for a few days. Chances are it will be fine, but don't get your hopes too high. Throw it back together and hope for the best.

I woul agree, that is basically what you will have to do. Damn you stupid cat!!!
