ELI5: Replacing a motherboard and processor

So I just ordered the Intel i5-4690K and the MSI Z97s SLI Krait. I'm upgrading from an AMD A10-5800K and an MSI A88XM-E45.

 

I've never done this(successfully) before and I'm afraid something could go wrong since last time I did it I was upgrading from an i3 and a broken Asus Mobo(the USB ports were broken) and right when Windows was starting up it shut off and it kept doing that. Until my dad got in touch with one of his co-workers that said I had to switch something in the BIOS(I don't remember what either settings were but they were acronyms).

 

So please explain it do me, like I'm 5, what do I do to replace my mobo and cpu? Step by step.
