I'm looking to buy a complete new pc and can't decide what GPU to get, 970 SLI, 980 (SLI?) or the new 980TI.
I'm planning to game on 1440p and 144 fps and wanna make an investment in the long term, say i can buy another 980 later on for SLI when the GPU starts to lack or is better to buy an 980TI and then ride that on for years to come until you buy a complete new card? Or is this overkill and 970 SLI would be a better solution for the future?

Thank you for all the answers!

I wold get the 980ti and the upgrade to a second one in the future.

An AMD cpu has no place in a solely gaming build, end of.

980ti is plain better over 970 sli and 980 is bad value.
