That is the reservoir in question

What is the difference between different pumps? Are there any advantages to a certain type of pump?

The biggest differentiating factor is flow rate, I think.

I like the color scheme of Noctua fans. Deal with it. Forget about the bad memories of the past.

For pumps 3 differ for each pump Flow Rate, Head and Noise Lvl

For that res they stay use (Laing D5 / Swiftech MCP655-B / Swiftech MCP655 / Alphacool VPP)

The MCP655 is considered to be a very good pump.

The Laing D5 is considered a very good pump, the Swiftech MCP6555 is just a "Laing D5 Vario" with a Swiftech sticker on it. The Swiftech MCP655 is just a "Laing D5 Strong" pump. And the Alphacool pump has an incomplete product number.

All of them are exactly the same except that with the vario you get speed control.

Yeah i know, XSPC also does an oem of the Laing D5, thats why i listed them all as they all are D5. Res in the link is for the D5 which mean any of those will work. I just said MCP655 cause thats the name i regularly calling it, its the easiest name for me to remember.
