Hey guys :)

I'm heading to Canada on holiday in about a month and I was looking on the NCIX Website and I saw the prices of the GTX 970, converting that price to GBP, I'm looking at a £80 cost difference compared to the same card here in the UK. Would I be able to buy a GTX 970 over in Canada and bring it back to the UK without having to pay tax on it?

I just want to try to make the most out of this huge price difference.

Thanks guys, Jem :)

It depends on the customs laws when entering Europe, unfortunately I think you will most likely need to pay tax and possible fees.

This is very basic but you may need to contact customs office for a more solid answer.

If you get stopped buy the tollers you should say that it was a gift. You should probably check the tax rules for import for your country, so you know what you are going for...

Your best choice is to get a friend to buy it and then pay that friend in cash.

Thanks guys. Just looked it up now. I can bring stuff back to the UK as long as its only for my personal use. This now means I can get rid of this awful 6850 I've still got.

Thanks again guys :)
