When it comes to graphics cards, all I hear about are things that are good for high performance games. I would like an effective graphics card solution that would work for a workstation.

Use

I will use my computer mainly for productivity applications like web browsing, Microsoft Office and medium content creation as a hobby.

I will game some, but only a little. (We are talking Minecraft and Team Fortress 2 here.)

Notes

- I prefer and benefit from multiple displays for better productivity. Do all graphics cards with multiple outputs do it? derp

Thank you in advance.

What is your budget?

You can get anything from a r9 270 to a gtx 970 (I would not go higher than 970), just depends on your budget :D (I dont recommend a 960).

Yes all modern gpus can handle multiple display, but do check the ports the GPUs have so that they are compatible with your screens.

Planning on trying StarCitizen (Highly recommended)? STAR-NR5P-CJFR is my referal link

My budget for the card is about $225 USD. I can go a little higher though.

I would recommend an R9 270.  It's around $140 USD, supports up to three displays (probably more with dongles and shit) and can be used to accelerate media encoding and whatnot.

Your CPU will matter a lot more.  I would recommend an i5.

4K // R5 3600 // RTX2080Ti
