My birthday is coming up soon, and I have a short job lined up to make some extra cash. At the absolute most I will have 300 usd, and at the least 200. Most of this is hand-me-down's from my brother (he is getting a 980 ti, new mobo, etc.) so that's why the majority of this is already payed for. The case is non-negotiable, but the CPU can be changed as you see fit. Any input is appreciated.

4690k and Nzxt source 210. The 210 is the cheapest yet good case there is. (opinion) Could you get one more 650 ti from ebay and get the gpu performance up?

the 210 is so gross though. I cant overclock much on a b85 anyways. My bro runs a 4790k and cant even get 4.2ghz out of it on that board. no point in a unlocked cpu as im not upgrading for a while (maybe gpu)

1: board sucks for overclocking. locked cpu is pointless.

2: case = nah

3: already purchased gpu. no need for a 650 ti

Ok. All good point but the last one. A 650 ti will not do todays games. Barley on low. Get another one and an sli mobo. It will be a life saver. If not the system wont run anything at all. ( at least decently.

the 650 ti boost runs anything I want tbh. I use a gtx 260 atm, so anythings an upgrade.

Ok. What do you play? I have 660s in sli. Its hard with one. But two gets me to the 60fps in gta, bf4 and everything.
