Get a 970. When the 300 series comes out price will be really high as stock will be limited and many people will be buying.

Some of the 300 series will be rebrands, so the 270x might be a rebranded 280x which is not faster than a 970

The R9 370X is basically just an R9 270/270X. This is miles behind a GTX 970. The GTX 970 competes with the R9 290/290X and 390/390X. The generational gap between R9 200 and 300 is basically nonexistent. AMD is taking the R9 200 series cards and just changing the 2 to a 3, essentially. Their only new GPU is the Radeon Fury (at least that is what it's rumoured to be called right now), which is gonna be very expensive and competing with GTX 980 Ti.

Intel i5-4690K @ 3.8GHz || Gigabyte Z97X-SLI || 8GB G.Skill Ripjaws X 1600MHz || Asus GTX 760 2GB @ 1150 / 6400 || 128GB A-Data SX900 + 1TB Toshiba 7200RPM || Corsair RM650 || Fractal 3500W
