Hi guys,

My first post here, I've been watching linustechtips channel and checking forum for a while now but never had to post anything until now.

Here are my specs before I tell you about my issue :

PS: Corsair CS650M 80 Plus GOLD

MOB: MSI Z97 Gaming 5

CPU: I7-4790K

GPU: MSI GTX 970 Gaming 4G - SLI ( OC )

RAM: DDR 3 Kingston HyperX Fury 16Gb 1866Mhz (4x4)

HDD: 1To Hitachi 7200 RPM

SSD:  500 Gb 850 Evo

This afternoon I was playing BTF4 and after 1 hour or something my PC suddently shuts down. What I don't understand is that it never happened before, I have this PC since a month right now and played a lot of GTA Battlefield Witcher3 and more without any issue, nothing has changed on it so i'm wondering what is the cause of this shutdown, i was thinking about my powersupply not beeing powerfull enough but i've check the internet and it says 650 is enough for 970 SLI

And still it only happened once so i don't know what to think about it, that's why i'm asking you guys about your opinion

PS: After the shutdown I spent 2 hours in Battlefield and 1 hour in Wow and nothing ... (Yeah i know i have to much free time on my hands :D)

Thanks for reading.

@Sharks80

WELCOME TO THE FORUM!!!!

It could have been a flipped bit on a ram stick that caused a problem, it could have been an overheating cpu, gpu, motherboard. You should look through your system event log to see if anything shows up and then go from there. Overall I wouldn't be to worried about it.

P.S. Don't forget to follow your own posts so that you can be notified when you get updates.

EDIT : I told a friend about it right after my PC restarted and yes looks like that's the error, it happend at 1:55 PM from what the event log said and I told him about it one minute later from what i can see on Skype
