So I have a Lenovo G505s for basic web browsing and it constantly stutters. As i write this post the screen freezes for 1-3 seconds and does this every 15-30 seconds. I checked ram usage and 1.5 gigs are cached. I don't know if that's the problem or not. The laptop specs are an A10-5750M with a Radeon 8650G and 6 gigs of ram.

Man I have had this sort of thing happen before but I can't remember how I solved the issue.  Check your cpu and video card temps to see if there is any problem there but maybe I fixed the issue by reinstalling my video drivers?  That might have been it.

Too many ****ing games!  Back log 4 life! :S

Do you have an SSD in it?

No, just a regular 1TB HDD

I have tried checking temps but the software is giving completely wrong temps. 104c idle and 115c while running unigine lol.

Delete System32

Alternatively, give it a reboot and maybe just blow the fans out. Also check the disk usage if win8.1 because a lot of the laptops I've worked onhave exhibited SvHost.exe and the system process CONSTANTLY using up all of the dick disk (oops, freudian slip) time but making no real transfer, maybe 100KB/s and it makes the whole machine incredibly slow and causes it to stutter.

The disk is being 1% used. My ram is being 66% used though.

The main things eating up my Ram: vsnom.exe, svchost.exe, audiodg.exe, and RzSynapse.exe. They all use 100,000kb of cached ram...

The disk is being 1% used. My ram is being 66% used though.

yeah. the ram is shared with the video as well. so it looks like 6GB cause 2GB is allocated. find out how to get in the bios on your model (search for it) it might be the tilde kep or del ... and see what your temps are after 5 minutes in the bios. In the bios your CPU is being pushed quite hard so see what it is doing.

while there. see if you can reduced the shared ram for the video down to 512mb

then when you get back into windows. search for ADW cleaner. grab that and scan. it gets rid of malware! run chkdsk in command prompt. run a defrag.

Also plug the laptop in, and go into power settings make sure you are getting 100% cpu. in some power profiles. they will turn CPU and PCI links right down so its slow!

also go into windows tools and clean your windows drive of all temp files etc incase ur HDD is over 60% full

Try all that
