Max allocated RAM size

Ok, so it is a little question but i couldn't find an answer to it anywhere else. I'm planning on using the ASUS B85-Pro gamer MOBO for my build, but if i go under info about the board it says that max allocated ram is 1024 under graphics, does this mean that it is a waist of money to buy the sapphire r9 280 which has 3GB VRAM?

 

I need to know this because i dont want to spend money that i don't have to spend...

Oh no no you will be fine. The max allocateable RAM is for on-board graphics which you won't be using. All is good :)

No. It refers to using the integrated graphics located on your CPU. The maximum amount of RAM that's allocatable to the integrated graphics is 1024MB. It does not impact any expansion cards(like a discrete graphics card) in any way.

That's for the integrated graphics, not for a GPU.

Sorry, but I can't resist to say this "WHAT'S THE WECOMMENDED AMOUNT OF DEDOTATED WAAAAM"
