The government could probably demand the encryption key and be able to decrypt the data, or they will just store it and crack it if and when a key/ computing power is available to decrypt it. I personally use ipredator as my VPN as i trust them not to send logs to governments as it is run by the same people as TPB.

What exactly are you afraid the government will find out? They're not looking for any juicy secrets you have or any weird fetishes so they can tell your friends and have a good laugh. They look for keywords such as bomb terrorism hacker virus 911 taliban

To be honest the fact that the government knows what I do doesn't bother me (just doesn't matter, people need to get a grip), what does bother me is hackers and shit getting into my private data for whatever reason, with that said the VPN thing might be worth it but I don't really know much about those.

I don't care if they know what I do, it's the way they're going about doing it that makes me mad. They preach all these laws and arrest people for breaking them, yet they aren't having votes or bills passed to invade our privacy, which violates laws in the first place.  They're just upright doing it.  That's what makes me mad. The hypocrisy of it all.
