Painting/modding PC case

I'm a complete noob when it comes to case modding, so I was wondering whether or not it would be good idea to paint my CM 690 II Advanced because I am quite bored of its looks (I have the option of getting a white Corsair 600T but I'd rather save the money if possible). Does anyone have any tips on starting this? I'm thinking of just a simple exterior coating.

Have you tried turning it off and on again?

Learn how to paint before you do anything on your case.

I've done some basic painted for my Design Technology class so I'm fairly familiar with this sort of thing, but I just want to know if there's anything I need to be aware of when it comes to PC cases.

Stand off's will need to be covered, you'll need to sand your case, prime it and paint it with a few coats. Other than that, you should be good to go.
