connected to the internet but can't browse the web

there are no exclamation marks on the wireless thing

it's a laptop.

i tried booting it in safemode with network and it worked.

What happens? Message? Errors? How can you expect to get assistance when there is very little information to go on?

 

Possibly virus.

ran a scan, no viruses.

reinstalled drivers, still didnt work.

Need more info, is the time/date correct?, is there dodgy programs installed?

Need more info, is the time/date correct?, is there dodgy programs installed?

Also is it WiFi or RJ45, do any programs connect to the internet? have you checked you have an IP assigned by DHCP? what is make and model of laptop? Home/work/school network?

er not sure what rj45 stands for

i connected the laptop to some other network, it worked but it couldnt browse the web or load up skype

i haven't downloaded anything recently as well
