Hey :D

Im not going to build this, i just want to share my thoughts and ideas with you :)

I found a Lian Li Pc on http://www.million-dollar-pc.com and saw the idea of custom external radiators, passively cooled

I really love this build, love the idea behind it. I don't know how effective this cooling is, but i think it should handle most common cpus and gpus in idle and under low load.

Maybe you could expand this passive cooling with an active, get some software turning off the fans in idle/low load and letting the spin up under load. That would make the pc almost completely noiseless

(with a low noise pump).

Further i love the black and white theme in this build. White tubing with in a black case looks just awesome. Add some black sleeving with white accents to match the theme. Also, the white custom heatspreader on the RAM are just gorgeous.

These are just my basic thoughts, here some more details:

Case:

I thought of the Tj11, its just a beautiful case with its black aluminum finish. Also you can fit easy radiators and a lot of hardware in it. But the coolest thing about it is the 90° turn of the mb.

Heres a picture of it: (http://www.silverstonetek.com/images/products/tj11/TJ11-34View.jpg)

I would remove the harddrive cages in the bottom, to fit a quad rad in it + psu.

In the front i would remove all the 5 1/4" bays and add instead a reservoir (One of these round ones, i forgot the name, sorry ^^). With a window mod that makes it a bit larger, you would be able to see it. That would make a big difference, because i think that the original window size too small, since the Tj11 is just huge.

And last i would add some fans in the back, just to make some airflow possible.

Watercooling:

Like i already said, i would add a quad. radiator in the bottom, plus the reservoir instead of the 5 1/4" bays. As tubing i would use "non-see-trough" (forgot the word), white tubing. It would be an awesome accent to the black case. But we would still need some white color for the water, since you can see the res. The pump would be hidden in the bottom section of the case, since i think pumps aren't the most beautiful part of watercooling ;) But the most important is still missing:

The external, passive watercooling mod. I don't really know how to do that, since i'm not really experienced, but these are just ideas :D

Color Themed Mods:

The sleeving should simply be black with one or two white accents + the standard cabel management.

A black decent black/whit water block + backplate should fit the theme perfectly, maybe even matt. Shiny wouldn't fit as good in the build, i think.

As lighting you could use simple white, since this is a colorless build.

Harddrives:

Since all the cages and bays are removed, we need a solution for storage.

I thought of one/two 1 Tb 840 EVOs by Samsung. These could be mounted on the backside of the Mb mount and should offer enough storage for an average user.

Maybe i'll try to make some pictures, either drawed or on pc, since it's pretty hard to explain this :D

But  i hope i clould show you guys my ideas :D

I'm no expert so I could be wrong but those look like they're reservoirs, not radiators.

Why do you think so?

They remind me of some radiators i have seen anywhere. I don't really remember.

But on the other hand: Why would you need such huge reservoirs? And why would you use this ineffective form factor?

Just have a close look on the upper end of these "things":

To me it looks, as if there were some heat spreader attached, so i think these are radiators.

But i also might be wrong :)

Edit:

Im sorry, misunderstood you :)

Made a proper reply
