MiniITX gaming build

Go to solution Solved by brob,

The reason I chose the Gigabyte is merely the price difference, which is about 50€. Do you think is it worth price-performance wise to get a larger one?

No. With that large a price differential I would stay with your selection.

Ok so would you recommend getting the Gigabyte H97 over the MSI Z97? I chose it because it only costs 2€ more here and since it's marked as gamming I thought it'd have more features.

I would select the less expensive of the two. With a locked cpu, on mini-ITX, a Z97 motherboard offers no advantage other than looks.

Hello! I'm a new user because I'm going to build my first custom gaming PC, and wondered I'd need help with the parts.

I wanted a miniITX build with the Corsair 380T as a case, and this is what I got so far:

In Spain, where I'm ordering, this costs about 950€, and I guess it will run everything at 1080p and 60fps which is what I'm aiming for. Basically I was looking for some recommendations about whether or not is everything ok.

I didn't include an SSD because I already have one. Thank you in advance!

Don't get a Z chipset motherboard if you are sticking with locked processors...

Looks ok. I think the gigabyte competitor to that board is better personally, so look at that one.

Get the 4590 over that processor if you're going non-K it is only $5 more on amazon atm.

Last. Get an EVGA 500w psu you'll save $20-30

Nice build.

The case will accommodate larger gpu like the MSI GTX 970 Gamming 4G, EVGA GTX 970 with ACX 2.0 cooler, and Asus Strix GTX 970 which have slightly better performance.

I chose it because it seemed more gaming-designed, was only about 10 € more and had Wifi, which is a must for me. Do you feel like getting a Gigabyte would be better?

Def not. I would save the money on the psu and put that into the gigabyte Z97.

If the MSI board is really the same price as the H97 then you're prolly getting a good deal on it.

I just like the gigabyte bios way more and they tend to have better placement of fan connectors and better onboard sound.

80+ ratings certify electrical efficiency. Not quality.
