So i dont know if this is the right place to put this, but I'm having an issue where i turn my computer off it turns itself back on about 30 minutes later. i have an asus x99 pro mother board and i checked the bios settings and the Restore AC Power Loss is turned to power off, and i dont know what other settings i should check. Could anyone help me with this thanks.

Is  it turning on or waking from being asleep?

Have you looked through Windows Task Scheduler?

If none of the above things work (try them first) you could try resetting the CMOS

this use to happen to me all the time in the middle of the night and it would scare the shit out of me

turns out it was just windows updater trying to update all of the things i was too lazy to update myself

the motherboard manual should tell you how.  There's usually a battery on the board somewhere.  Remove it and reinsert.

where do i find that in the bios?

You may also need to, set this in windows. In device manager find you network cards go to properties an on the power management tab find the tick box for "allow this device to wake my computer" (this includes powering on from off) and un-tick it.
