The Gigabyte P35K v3 is amazing... But expensive. Another option would be like an Lenovo Y40-80, but those are mostly 14 inches.

I need a budget. Also nice to know would be needed (please, not "wanted") battery life, and if there are any size requirements. Your location is also important as it dictates where you can buy it from.

Do you mind a somewhat thick 17"? The keyboard will be just fine. Or would you prefer a 15"? The machines are mostly the same.

I would want a 15 inch but if you find a good 17 inch I'll take it. Also I don't want any 2 inch nonsense

The P750ZM is the best enthusiast 15" on the market. The P770ZM is the best enthusiast 17" on the market. Places like notebookcheck place higher importance on aesthetics and IPS panels over TN panels and as such they rate the ASUS models highest, but they really aren't when it matters (in performance etc).

 

If you live in the USA, then you can look at the P750ZM here or the P770ZM here. You may need to do things like properly repaste the CPU/GPU yourself later. I suggest the intel wifi card over the killer card.

If that is too thick, you can consider the Clevo P650Sx series or the P670Sx series. They are slim, have tri-fan cooling, ranges from a 965M to a 980M, 15 or 17 inches in screen size, and they are all less than an inch.
