Hello

I've been starting to get interested in the PC world lately, and stared doing research, and fake builds on pcpartpicker. I was fine with finding the CPUs, SSDs, hdds, and finally got good on deciding the motherboard, but have had trouble choosing the graphics card and case more often than not. I have a budget of 1700-2100 usd and want to find and or mock the creation of a mini ITX build, but am missing the case and gpu

3 options come to mind for the case: the ncase m1, the silverstone sg13 and the spotswood helmer cabinet, where I could theoretically put an Atx if I chase the 5 tiered one. I would like to know which is better and your reasons, for experience's sake

For the gpu, I've come from a rig that uses original ddr memory and a corrupted hdd. Since I have no knowledge really on graphic cards, I went generally hor an R9 290X. Is that overkill for a rig to be used for gaming that always got between 0 to 5 fops on the original bad rig before it died, video editing, work? Thanks in advance for all your advice

In my opinion. Then an ITX X99 system makes little sense. X99 is generally meant for enthusiast builds, or builds that require multiple PCIe lanes and a 6+ core CPU.

If you are going to use it just for gaming, etc. Then you should think about using a Z97 platform instead.

As for the case. I'd lean towards the NCase. I just love the aesthetics of the case.

Edit: @TechWizard Remember to follow your own topics.

I put a ITX system together myself on PCPart. Similar budget, but what I would consider a more well-balanced system. Traded the hardrive for a larger SSD, X99 to Z97, crappy monitor to something decent,

I would go with N Case because of the dem sexiness

You need a graphics card because Haswell-E processors don't have build in graphics.I would say get a reference card because of case size

And please get a better monitor.Like please...

Your build seems well thought out and an R9 290x isn't overkill for you at all. Some may suggest a quad core CPU paired with a better GPU instead, but for video editing you could definitely use the extra processing power. For the case I would go with the Ncase M1, because it has overall higher build quality, is optimized for liquid cooling, and was carefully designed to be the best case for a compact, high-powered build. Cases like the SG13 were meant to be used for things like HTPCs, it's compacted in a way that has poor airflow and you are almost guaranteed to overheat, especially when doing things like gaming and video editing.

Please don't get that monitor. It will definitely be worth it to save up for something that is at least 1080p and 22 inches.

I am thinking/hoping they are just getting for something ultraportable. Because otherwise you are correct.

I also do know anything about the quality of that monitor, but I am concerned that it is VGA only.
