i have a HP laptop Wistron 303C board, AMD Turion X2 RM-72, 3 GB of ram, GeForce  8200M G one 300GB  HDD, 320 GB EXHDD, OS Win Vista

this is the idea

i am using wireless and team viewer to see what is going on with the laptop from my Gaming PC and i know i could just take the drive out and reformat it on the gaming PC but i knew this  would work if i tried it. i do not care about speed so i set it to use 30% of its CPU because something is not right about the temps. the temps are now 150oF. if i did put it on 50% it would  BSOD and reach 210oF. the laptop is old and brockin case but it still works.

speed
7 min for 1 GB

Does the laptop get adequate airflow? Is it open or shut? Is it full of dust?
