Fraps help?

I'm posting this on a different forum since I couldn't get any help the last time; hopefully I'm posting on the right spot, because I seem to post on the wrong side of the forum quite often.

Now, let me start off by saying I've had this issue for at least a month. It all started with with Fraps telling me it was a corrupt install after having used it on this pc for at least a year; I opted to reinstall the program to see if that would fix it. It didn't. So, I looked around and I found out that I could just mess around in the registry and do a clean install of the program, I reinstalled and it worked just fine. But then when I try to import my Fraps videos into Sony Vegas, I get an error telling me it's unable to import. A couple days ago I downloaded Virtual Dub to try to convert the clips and I get an error saying "Couldn't locate decompressor for format FPS1 (unknown)." 
I think I might have deleted that when I removed some registry keys. But I'm not too sure, if anyone could help me; that would be awesome!

Use Handbreak instead of whatever converter crap you used.

 

Also, are FRAPS and SV pirated? I know there was an issue with a SV crack a while back that would corrupt project files after a they got to a certain size.

Handbreak makes it look terrible though t-t, I wanted to keep the raw file instead of converting anything. Also; both Fraps and SV are pirated, I'm not paying no 600$ for both programs. Also, I did re-install both programs and used different versions, it hasn't done anything to fix my issue. Oh, and I think you misunderstood my issue, I can't convert anything because the decompressor isn't there.

I agree that SV is not worth the money. 

It's just not powerful enough of a tool to be worth that much.

Can you screenshot your project template for me? as well as preferences in sony vegas.

Un tick the "Adjust source media to better match the project or render settings".

Also un tick "Close media files when not the active application" and "Close audio and MIDI ports when not the active application.".

I would also suggest doing this.

If this does not work, i would say go down to Sony Vegas 12, because I had other problems with 13 and just gave up and went back to 12.

why are you using fraps ..when everyone has moved on to OBS cause of its hardware encoding?

You have to dink around in the settings and manually set the quality settings. 

IMHO I don't like either, I just use shadowplay.

I'm still wondering how I'm gonna get this codec issue fixed, the help TDP_Equinox didn't seem to fix it T-T
