Old System CPU Upgrade

I just found an old HP Compaq dx2300 microtower, and, after doing some research, I found that it has a LGA 775 socket and an Intel 946GX Express chipset.

 

I also happen to have an old Core 2 Quad Q6600. From everything that I have found, this chip should work in this motherboard, but, before I do anything, I want to be 100% sure. The Intel 946GX Express chipset should work with the Q6600, but is there anything else about this system's motherboard that would make it incompatable?
