Have you waited? Linux takes a long time to process... An installation took me several hours once.

Have you waited? Linux takes a long time to process... An installation took me several hours once.

....hours? i waited like ten minutes xD when it finally does something, will it give me the option to format the hdd im using as well? this is my first experience with linux. Ive only ever installed Windows and Mac OS

once the install starts it will ask you step by step how you want it set up. I would just leave the default "use the whole drive" no need to set up full disk encryption if you don't need it.

great, thanks! Is overclocking the same with linux? because Id like to underclock my 8350 and set the fans on my radiator really low, this is going to be an htpc so silence is my aim

What kind of installation are you doing? That's way too long. I do installs in less than 25 minutes regularly...

I installed Red Hat Enterprise Linux 7 64Bit in under 10 min same for Fedora.

I use lili linux usb creator

Overclocking is done in the bios not the OS so it shouldn't matter what OS you run.
