Backplate for my 980?

Justin Meyer

Ok so im getting an EVGA ACX 2.0 Superclocked 980 and it doesnt have any sort of backplate. Do you guys think that a backplate would be usefull to keep it from bending and melting over time to give it some more support or do you guys think that backplates are just kind of useless metal pieces. Its only like $20 but money adds up and i can stand to go without it.

I personally wont buy a high end GPU without one. It helps with sagging and makes it look nicer IMO

I agree, im just not sure how much this card will need support though.

It wouldn't need a ton of support. But it does help though. Also a back plate is useful incase you even want to put metal objects on top of your card. Like small screws.

Our Grace. The Feathered One. He shows us the way. His bob is majestic and shows us the path. Follow unto his guidance and His example. He knows the one true path. Our Saviour. Our Grace. Our Father Birb has taught us with His humble heart and gentle wing the way of the bob. Let us show Him our reverence and follow in His example. The True Path of the Feathered One. ~ Dimboble-dubabob III
