Hello.
I've got a question witch i think would be a great idea for a video for Techquickie, and that is, what is a motherboard?
i know.. braindead topic, but really, what should you be looking for?

as far as i know, you take witchever cheapest motherboard witch supports what you need, witch is as far as i know;
CPU socket (uauallt 55)
PCI-e slots (uaually need 1, maybe 2)
how many sata ports
if it supports DDR3 or DDR4

and thats about it as far as i know..
does chipset matter a lot?

what else actually matters?

They have already done it.

An AMD cpu has no place in a solely gaming build, end of.

I3 4150, Intel HD graphics, corsair CX750M, 4gb ram, Asus H81M-E, corsair 230T, Intel stock cooler WD Green 2TB Gigabyte 550TI

Why you shouldn't trust Gpu or Cpu boss Click on this I dare you!

I know that the newegg channel has a video for this and i think there was an old video for this on LTT but i agree they should do a new one with ddr3 vs ddr4 and different sockets and chipsets and stuff like that. Because i know a lot of people who know how to build a pc already but still don't understand a lot about the components individually.

Just a normal guy with a constant desire to modify everything he owns.

Check out my current build here:
