Nexus 7 2013 CPU Temps?

What is a safe operating temperature for a device like this? I was browsing through the app store and saw a cpu temp app. Temps were higher than I would of thought. Idle is in the 40s, Browsing I get about 50c-60c, CPU stress test brought it up to 79c, and zooming in and out alot in Clash of Clans  ;) got it as high as 88c. The device feels very hot in one area as well. Is this fine for a fanless device?

I'm pretty sure it's not supposed to run that hot unless you're running a custom rom that doesn't throttle. Apple and nVidia target a max temperature of 45C, so you should aim for that O.o 

A max of 45c is pretty low. I wouldn't compare to other companies.

It shouldn't run hotter than that unless something is awfully wrong or it's not throttling properly. 

I guess I wish I found out the temps sooner. I've had the device for almost 2 years.

I am looking at this on my Nexus 7 2013....this shit is always hot. 

 

My Nexus 7 has been cool as fark, even with room temps of 30c.
