Which build and why?

So i created these 2 builds and deciding on which one:

My budget is around 600 US dollars for now, if u have any ideas or maybe mix the 2 let me know tnx

Why not mix and match? I am kind of an Intel fan boy so I would say the first but I would have the Crucial Ballistix ram and the 960 in the Intel build instead but go with what you want. I do think the R9 is great though.

Take the sport ram and 960 put it in the intel build. Done. If you can spend 50 more get an ssd for the os. Wont help gaming performance but will help os.

i5 and 280x all day. The processor and gpu is better, no competition.

The 280x is a better card for gaming but it cost more and the cheapest 960 beats it for performance-dollar.

huh I remember the 960 being 200+ and the 280x 170+

Both, but in all seriousness the intel build is better though I would recommend a better mobo.

There was a time where 280x's were slightly cheaper - but maybe you were thinking of 280s, which go for around $160

nope 280x a week after 960 launch 280x was $170 and 960 was $200

There aren't any USB 3.0 on board headers if that is what you are looking for.

whats the difference between this gpu, does it have more ghz only. Like is that the main difference?

No Actually is a slightly smaller base clock from 1.22 to 1.18 GHz, but it is a few bucks cheaper.
