Grab a 4440, and an h81 motherboard.also get 8gb of RAM.

EDIT: If you are going for Xfire get a 850w one.

Oops. Overlooked it.

What's wrong with H97 though? and I know I'll need around 750-800W so I'm looking for a specific psu that will work well

Thing is, you spend too much on a higher chipset. The 4430 and 4440 are Haswell Chips , no need for a Haswell Refresh chipset like the h97, though if you like it go for it.

H97 have more features and some things you won't be using, h81 or b85 would be a better choice if your aren't getting a K CPU, for the ram you can use 1 stick x 8gb at 1600

Nice to see a fellow kiwi on here. you cant properly crossfire with anything other than a Z series chipset. I tried putting my 290 in a PCIe 2.0 4x and it runs really quite slow. Just a word of warning

Was worried about that, maybe I'll look for a new MotherBoard, and yeah not too many of us :D

If you plan to run 290 CF you would need a good 850W PSU.

Also consider Seasonic/Enermax or Corsar/EVGA PSUs, by the way, if you don't plan to overclock just get a i5 4xxx series, the higher the better

Those companies (besides Seasonic) stick their name on the PSU. It's the OEM that actually make the unit that counts. Generally the best PSUs are made by Seasonic and Super Flower.
