Bf3 CPU Intensive?

Hey guys I have a Pentium G3258, OCd @ 3.8 Mhz, I wanted to know if Bf3 is as CPU intensive as Bf4, because In Bf4 my pentium really affects my performance, any advice would be good.

Yeah for a fair bit but a bit less than BF4

BF3 is amazingly optimised, so BF3 will run better than BF4.

I really don't know how people get different performance than me, i've seen a bunch of videos of G3258s and they get awesome fps, and I get rubbish... 30 on low.. with the R9 270

Not at all, the exact opposite. I keep to servers with less than 20 players and set the priority for BF4.exe to high and it runs at VERY high FPS, even maxed out.

Omg, I don't know whats happening then, I get about 30 fps on low...

I still saw a video with a guy with 3.8 ghz, getting better fps with the same rig, and still, I don't think 0.8 Ghz would make such a difference...

So you get 30 fps on low settings in bf3 with a r9 270? That is insane (I'm assuming you are @ 1080p). I get 60+ fps on ultra at 2560x1080 with my 280, you should get about 55fps on ultra at 1920x1080. 

Start a troubleshooting thread, I bet you will find a solution

So you get 30 fps on low settings in bf3 with a r9 270? That is insane (I'm assuming you are @ 1080p). I get 60+ fps on ultra at 2560x1080 with my 280, you should get about 55fps on ultra at 1920x1080.

Looks like a problem on your side even on stock clock you should get 60 fps easy.

Yeah maybe, but I want to resolve this problem so bad..

My 3570k @ 4.5ghz and OC'd 7950 get minimum 60fps ultra everything no MSAA and up to 100fps. You need to OC your CPU to at least 4.5ghz. 270 is a weak card. Turn off MSAA and ambient occlusion.

well its def not the gpus fault. That gpu can run bf4 maxed out with 2xmsaa campaign. My cpu is fx 8350.

Just save every cent you get for a 4 core cpu. 2 core cpus are becoming extinct.
