From what I understand, they are equal to the 4770 when it comes to gaming, and slightly better for things like video editing. One disadvantage is you can't overclock, but being it is my first time anyways, I don't want to mess around with overclocking anyways.

Do I really need better/more ram for minor video editing and gaming? I probably can't run better than 1080p with a single 970 anyways.

well i had 8 GB of ram and then i upgraded to 16 GB of ram and i noticed the difference in games a lot the frame rate jumped up massivly and more ram is better for video editing as well and in games you cant use the 2nd monitor i have tried it myself

I know you can't use both monitors in games. It's more for productivity/multitasking.

i dont know but i think it will be good because of the frequency and the number of cores

Ok, thanks. I think I will stick with the 8gb ram and 2 monitors for now. Ram is such an easy upgrade that I would rather get the monitor sooner. I also will eventually upgrade to 2 970s in sli. That should last me for quite a while.

tip do not go to 3 970 the price to preformance is not worth it on 3 on 2 it is good
