So for some reason my pc started blue screening in the past few days. I downloaded prime95 to stress my cpu and i have a few questions. How many tests are there in prime 95? the first test ran with ease with no problem (around 40 degrees). The second test got hotter (around 60-70 degrees). The third test got over 80 degrees. Im wondering if this is normal? How many tests should i pass for my cpu to be considered stable?

thanks.

btw my cpu is the i5 4690k.

Don't use prime 95 and a haswell chip.

An AMD cpu has no place in a solely gaming build, end of.

I3 4150, Intel HD graphics, corsair CX750M, 4gb ram, Asus H81M-E, corsair 230T, Intel stock cooler WD Green 2TB Gigabyte 550TI

There are other free solutions. Like OCCT and XTU. Maybe ROG Realbench too but I don't have personal experience with it.

If running P95 only use the blend test. Also be sure your core voltage mode is set to manual mode.

Asus real bench is a great alternative to prime 95
