So I've decided to build my own computer for my graduation/birthday gift all wrapped in one.

This is a link to the build: http://pcpartpicker.com/p/brggxr

For some background, I'm planning on making this a gaming rig and also a workstation. I live in the southwest United States and I'm currently hitting my budget line right now.

Very nice build. However you have to consider that you also need to buy some games on Steam or Origin. Especially during summer sale. Therefore ask yourself how long it would take you to have 50$ available for games.

But the build is epic. Just be careful when building it that you do it properly.

Whaddup

Changed case. Phanteks Enthoo Pro is awesome :D

Changed SSD. I am not kidding when I say your SSD is slower than your HDD. Never get a V3000 :)

Besides that your build is reasonably solid. I'm not sure exactly what kind of work you're going to be doing but this should be able to cover mid range tasks :P

The work would be mostly CAD and 3D modeling programs. And I wanted the H440 mainly for the very important reasons of looks and wanting a silent case. Another question I've run into, would I need to buy more case fans for this build, or would the stock four fans be enough?

Scale of projects being worked on?

The stock case fans aren't that quiet. If you want a quiet system, just get quiet components.

Thanks! I didn't know that. The work would go all the way up to rendering so I figured the cores would be necessary. I actually thought about getting a 4770k.
