Hey everyone, I am looking for a new headset, but not particularly a "gaming" headset. I will use it for games, but I've heard bad things about "gaming" branded headsets. Right now I use Bose AE2's, which are great for music but I can't stand them for games. The bass is just not strong enough to cope with explosions, etc. So my requirements are: needs good sound quality (duh), needs to have good bass as well as mids- high's aren't that important. An included mike is preferable, but not a huge factor. Finally, it needs to fit my budget of <$80 AUD. Mainly buying from MSY and PCCG. Thanks for any help.

First thing to know is whether you can use open back headphones if so I heared a lot of good stuff about the Philips shp9500 so you can go for those+ moov mic.

If you cant use open back headphones I'll just go for the clouds you won't find much better in you price range

most people in this forum recommend the kingston hyper x cloud. i will never buy a gaming headset again after owning many, except that one. if not go for some m50x's or even m40x if those are cheaper

I've heard good things about the cloud as well, I will consider them. What do you think of Logitech G430's? They appear to be pretty good for gaming and seem to be at a really good value as well.

Logitech G series headsets are all really bad.. I bought a G930 before and I reutrned it same day, was awful. I wanted a wireless headset and thought it couldn't be that bad.. it was. After owning good pairs of headsets I would say stay away from logitech headsets. The Clouds would be your best option probably.
