Right now I have one GTX 780. I didn't pay a dime for it. I have a PS4 that is useless to me so I am going to sell it. I can probably sell it to my grandfather to use for his new house as a DVD player. If I get $350 for it then I will have enough to buy another 780. I am still trying to sell my Shield Tablet on the Classfields. I have some other money saved, too. So should I get another 780 and an ROG Swift or wait until Pascal to get a GTX _80? GTX 970's are not really an option for me because I need the extra CUDA cores. 750W should also be just barely enough, correct? 640w from the CPU and GTX 780s should be fine on the RM750 from what I think.

Sli 780s aren't much faster than a 980. Not really worth it unless you get one cheap, but considering you got the first one for free. Plus selling a ps4 to your grandpa for $350 for a DVD player is a big rip off and I'd feel so bad if I did that. He could get a plain DVD player for $50...

My grandpa isn't really smart with technology. He can respond to about 100 emails in an hour for his work if that's cool. He handles shipping across the world and has to find the most reliable, cheapest shipping that will be quick.

It's more for a family room for my cousins and I to use.

I looked at some benchmarks and it's actually a pretty major difference. Like 30% more.

Well, if that's what you want to do? Just throwing out my opinion. If you can get a cheap enough 780 by all means go for it.
