As the title suggests, this s going to be my first build and just need tome advice/tips/tricks. Mostly for the hardware choices. I'm fairly confident in the actual build, just want to make sure my hardware choices are optimal for my budget etc... Anyway, on to my choices so far.

http://uk.pcpartpicker.com/p/p4CR8d

Thought I'd link the part picker rather than list everything.

1. Budget & Location -

I'm looking to keep it about the £900GBP mark. Notice that I havent listed an OS, case or peripherals. I have a copy of Windows 8 lying about and the case and peripherals I think are largely down to personal preferance so opinions are welcomed but not setting anything in stone for them. The only major want I have is a window on the case to show off my handy work  :)

I'm based in Scotland in the UK.

2. Aim -

I'm looking to get into the PC gaming scene...I have been a console gamer for years now but I wanna delve into the PC side of things. Probably just the latest releases etc. Also online RPGs. I also plan on doing a bit of streaming, music production and video editing. I am also teaching myself multiple programming skills at the moment which means I'm running VMs.

3. Monitors -

As far as monitors go, I want to end up with 2. Although I am only includig one in my budget for now as I will purchase a second in the future. I want one for PC gaming and one for general browsing that will also be hooked up to an X1.

4. Peripherals -

Like I mentioned previously, to me peripherals are a lot to do with personal preference. But incase anyone would like to make suggestions, I dont think I need some insane gaming keyboard & mouse that costs the earth. I would however like a decent headset, I am used to my X07's on the X1 so really would like something to match. Again, not including this in my budget, I will pick something up when i have spare cash. OS I have and monitor is mentioned in parts list.

5. Why are you upgrading? -

A couple of reasons... The first one may sould silly to some of you (Well maybe not to you, but to normal people) I have lived in an area now my whole life with terrible internet, 4mb down and 0.8mb up!! And we are in the process of having the cab upgraded to FTTC. Number 2, I fancy a project and all the resons mentioned in "Aim"

Anyway, if you are still reading then gold star and thank you :) Any advice at all will be appreciated.

For £910 this is probably one of the best pcs you could get.

http://uk.pcpartpicker.com/p/Tt8tdC

An AMD cpu has no place in a solely gaming build, end of.

I3 4150, Intel HD graphics, corsair CX750M, 4gb ram, Asus H81M-E, corsair 230T, Intel stock cooler WD Green 2TB Gigabyte 550TI

Why you shouldn't trust Gpu or Cpu boss Click on this I dare you!
