cool cool, just wanted to check incase i fucked installation of the 212 or something. I do live in scotland so its quite cold ambient. like 13C the now

That's good but idle doesn't say much.

What is a good benchmark to put it under load?, I've done a few baby tests like occt's cpu thing and got mid 50's but i want something that will push it more so i can see what im looking at

Prime 95 at the high preset forgot the name ><

I ran the torture test on prime95, 57C Stock obvs

Idle with speedstep, c states, and c1e should run at ambient temps if you have nothing open besides the temp monitoring software. Aida64 and intel's xtu are both good for stress testing. depending on how you set up your fan curve and the stock voltage, you should see max temps of under 60c.
