What are you looking for from this upgrade? Gaming performance? If so - I would keep the i5 - but, look to upgrade ram - to at least 8 if not 16 GB (and ensure your OS is 64bit). Thought about a SSD? Upgrade the GPU to something a bit more beffy...

Got a 90gb ssd as my boot drive and was thinking about maybe getting a 7950 GPU if I can find one pretty cheap but top priority is more ram currently and yeah this is purely
