So right now I'm running an i7 2600K with an Asus P8Z68-V Pro Gen3

Mobo in question: http://www.asus.com/Motherboards/P8Z68V_PROGEN3/

I've been having issues with certain specific games where I get random driver crashes. I've tried reinstalling drivers and I've even upgraded from a GTX 680 to a 980, not specicially to get rid of the issue, I wanted to upgrade and in the process I was hoping it would resolve this issue. Anyway, long story short it's not worked.

The games that have been giving me grief are Far Cry 3, GTA V and I'm sure there were a couple others. Outside of any of those games, I never have driver crashes which I thought was peculiar. The only thing I can think of that could be at fault would be the motherboard PCI slot although I'm not sure why it would only be crapping out on those specific games.

If it's relevant the PSU I use is a Corsair AX650W. I don't OC so I don't think it's a power related issue.

TL;DR:

What is the most relevant parts for me to buy? I'm probably looking for latest generation of i7 processor in conjunction with a pretty sweet motherboard, brand doesn't matter to me and price is irrelevant. I'd be looking to spend probably about £400 max though. My storage solution currently is a 500GB SSD boot with 1TB SSD Steam Drive along with 2x1TB HDD for mass storage. Having a bunch of SATA III slots is a bonus in other words :P
